Here is a fun link
Dog Tricks! Shake, Crawl, Beg, Wave, Kiss, Roll Over, Take a Bow, and more!
When I first started with Buster I would just teach him the word. I just keep treats with me and whenever he sat down I said sit and rewarded him. I then taught the word and a hand gesture with the action. You especially want hand gestures for obedience commands like come and stop because if they are across a busy street or somewhere loud you need to be able to signal them. Buster is highly treat motivated so it helps with training. Another good trick to start with is to have them look to your eyes for commands so that you have their focus. I don't release Buster from his sit to eat until he looks me in the eyes.
And doing tricks just ups the Yorkie cuteness factor if that's even possible.
