I don't have a fence and so Huey can't go outside off leash because he immediately runs off. (2 experiments with this several years ago taught us our lesson). What you say about a companion might work, though, because when I take Huey to my parents house where the yard is fenced but with wrought iron and gaps large enough for Huey to get through, he has never tried. He is content to stay in their yard and play with their 2 dogs. |
