Ok, so I live on a 15 acre farm. Half mile long driveway, of course I have my large outside dogs, and my first ever beloved male yorkie is my inside baby. He turned a year old in Novemeber, he is my EVERYTHING. So, here is my problem. I hate the idea of making a dog stay tied up or in a kennel, call me a feel goodist but i dont believe in it. We do havbe a fenced in yard, but my baby is small of course. so, when I let him out, I find he is ALWAYS running off to the neighbors house which is located in front of us. They have a female lab, but she is fixed. When I try to make him go potty on leash he wont, and thus potties in the house. If I let him outside, and go with him, not on a leash he will potty, but then run to the female and not listen when I call him. What can I do to teach him to not run off? Underground fence? shock collar? I dont want to resort to that. Should I get a female as a friend for him, would that keep him in the yard? of course I would get her fixed, dont want to be breeding. Who can help?
