I went late tonight to see Sunny....they are wonderful and let me visit late because I had company all day. A friend had visited him earlier but I really wanted him to know I had not deserted him. He is so sick. They had to put a feeding tube in because it has been a week without food. I took him some things to eat...and he actually licked a tiny bit of yogurt off of my finger. I will be going in the morning to see him. Hopefully his appetite will be improved. He has protein losing nephropathy, pancreatitis, and suspected lymphangectasia. Really a sick boy but his vitals are stable and they started him on steroids this morning. He is also on mirtazapine. Hopefully with the tube feedings he will want to eat more. Also, the meds should help to make him feel better and stimulate his appetite. Just hope we can pull him out of this. I was pleased to see that he was fairly bright considering his illness. What a beautiful cloud nine bed with your smell on it to comfort her in her transition. How wonderful for Summer that she will also have a brother to play with. Best wishes Summer.
Poor Sunny D. I was trying to respond last night when I couldn't get on YT. He looks so sad. I hope things are going better for him today.
