Did you compare the ingredient lists? I have never fed either of the foods. You can compare the ingredients on the Dog Food Advisor web site. I think they list all recalls that company's have had also.
The quality of the company is important. Purina has been having many complaints from pet owners that say their dog's have died of various diseases due to their food. Really there are a lot of really bad pet food producers out there.
