My Good Eater Lulu... Hello...everyone....I just registered today after reading messages and advices shared by experienced yorkie mamas in this site . My yorkie girl, Aloha will be one year old next month. I love her so much.. She is my youngest and the most spoiled baby of all. By the way, what I wanted to ask you is how to control my good eater aloha when she loves eating human food so much. My two young children (7 & 10) eat snacks and as soon as she hears the cabinet door openning, she runs and wags her tiny little tail until she gets what she wants. She jumps, dances, kisses, and does all the cutest tricks that a dog can do to melt the heart. She is getting chubby now. I am worried about her building cavities and getting chunky. I make her exercise and brush her teeth regulary, but it seems like she is just a food lover period. She would even eat sliced fresh cucumber if she sees me eating anything. With these doggy treats all getting recalled, I do not know how you are controlling the food amount and the food kinds you are providing to your four legged babies. She weighs a little over 6lbs now but my vet told me that she needs to control her diet and lose a few ounces if possible since her body frame is so small. Her parents were tiny.
What kind of healthy snacks do u give and how often? And how to turn her away when she wants a bite of table food? Your advice will be greatly appreciated. |
