Summer left this afternoon. Her new brother is adorable and I really think they will do very well together. It was bittersweet....I was happy to see that she really took to her new mom and skin sister!
They spent quite a bit of time here getting to know her before they left to drive back to Dallas. She is going to have a wonderful life! I am so happy for her! Here is a pic they sent me earlier of her in her Cloud Nine bed that I made for her. I will post more pics as I get them.

I went late tonight to see Sunny....they are wonderful and let me visit late because I had company all day. A friend had visited him earlier but I really wanted him to know I had not deserted him. He is so sick. They had to put a feeding tube in because it has been a week without food. I took him some things to eat...and he actually licked a tiny bit of yogurt off of my finger. I will be going in the morning to see him. Hopefully his appetite will be improved. He has protein losing nephropathy, pancreatitis, and suspected lymphangectasia. Really a sick boy but his vitals are stable and they started him on steroids this morning. He is also on mirtazapine. Hopefully with the tube feedings he will want to eat more. Also, the meds should help to make him feel better and stimulate his appetite. Just hope we can pull him out of this. I was pleased to see that he was fairly bright considering his illness.
