It is the type used for livestock. My vet mentioned it bc Ellie is allergic to,,pretty much all foods and can't take HG. I'd never give Trifexis, don't trust Revolution, and my jury is still out on Advantage Multi (although this may he what I go with). No brand name yet. Vet will probably orderit for me if we devide to go this way. My guess it is not palatable at all. Not recommending this route for anybody, esp. if HG is an option.

Heartgard is a great drug. Ry takes it. The manufacturer (Merial) is no angelic company either...
