Well, bottom line is, you will either need to listen to the whining and know that eventually Harley will fall asleep. Getting something to cuddle with and that heart beat doll is a great idea!
OR, you're going to need to sleep in the same room with Harley everynight. Which, in my experience, will just lead to Harley training YOU and deciding he could cry and whine even then and eventually you'll get him out to sleep with you.
OR, you could sleep in the same room with Harley...with Harley on the couch.
I'm thinking you need to be able to stay in bed with the BF. So, xpen (simply because 11 weeks is way too young to expect Harley to be able to hold his pee and poo all night..this way he can go to a pad in the pen) Harley in another room and ear plugs for you. It will KILL you and you will eventually get up and say, "I can't let him cry anymore. I have to go get him." When you do that....stop. I say this because I did this with Mandie. She now knows she owns me and it all started the 2nd night she trained me lol.
