I swear, Wallee has got to be the most vocal little dog I have ever had. One of my kitties refuses to accept him (which comes as no surprise as she doesn't like one of the other kitties either). She will sit above him and growl if he comes near. He will grumble back at her and she will growl back. I always say they are arguing. Also when he wants the ball thrown or wants to be picked up or petted he will bark in your face ana when you ask him what he wants he will grumble away again.He even has to have the last word when you ask him to sit. As he plunks his butt down on the ground he lets out a low grumble.
