She's trying to establish her role as the alpha. It's common in a multiple dog household. You can discourage it but the animals do establish a social pecking order. The real problem lies when you have another female who is either already "alpha" and another female is challenging her which result in out and out fights. I don't have fights at my house but I do occasionally see my female correct or remind the others who is boss.
They are called "bitch" for nothing.
