I have 2 chihuahuas and 1 yorkie, you do not want a chihuahua for apartment living ,The least little noise and they bark their heads off.I love my chi's dearly but they are noisey dog's, My yorkie doesn't bark even when people come in she doesn't know, she just want's peoples attention. I think i got lucky with her being so quiet as she is 1 year old already. Just my 2 cent's.
