I am NOT A VET, but if I was in this situation, I would want another medication for this issue. I pulled out some phamacology books and if this was the only drug available, thn I MAY try it....I think I would first try Glyco-Flex.....My brother has his collie on this and she is 90% better and moving pain free. My ortho vet recommended this for doxys with spinal issues where they had also quit walking because of the pain and the owners were trying to avoid surgery at that moment for whatever reason....and there are not the multiple, rather serious side effects associated with Previcox.
