I can totally relate to what you are going through. My oldest Hugo died from heart failure around Thanksgiving. he was 11 years old. He had been diagnosed with a heart murmur for about 2 1/2 years. He took lasix twice a day, Encard and Vetmedan. He got alot better after we started giving him the meds. The vet told me he would either die from the heart giving out or kidney failure from the lasix. I kept him as calm as I could. I never ever took him for a walk again after he was diagnosed. My vet wanted me to take him to a Vet cardiologist, but it was a 2 hour drive for me and I was NOT gonna put him through the stress of the drive. Besides, there was nothing they could do to fix his little heart. I just wanted to make what little time he had left to be peaceful and at home with his family. Luckily he died in his sleep one night and did not suffer. I was absolutely devastated when he passed.

You are in my thoughts
