I started with a lab and yorkie..lol
Carley thought he was a cute little toy that played back but I knew sometimes he could be rough with his teeth so when I felt like they were playing too rough I separated them. Carley would go to her crate and Joey to his, just to be fair.
Now, with my MILs dog, hes about 5 months younger than Joey and they play all the time, but Odie cant get onto the couch so when Joey has enough he just jumps up to get away LOL.
About the human bites, I stopped that with a quickness. I would say "OUCH! No biting" and then point my finger toward their nose. If they did it again, then I would tap their nose. It worked for both Carley and Joey.
