He weighs 7.5 oz I still feed him the goats milk, puppy milk, yogurt ,karo, puppy vitamin & mix a little baby puppy food in bottle. He has not lost weight but does not seem to gain as fast as adopted sister. She is at 22 oz. he walks around good even though he is short. They are still next to my bed so I can keep eyes & ears on them. I still keep heating pad in bed since he is so small & I cover bed up with blanket to keep drafts off of them. Not sure but am guessing he will be tiny baby. I feel I am doing every thing right. The mommy is 4/12 pounds & daddy is like 3 pounds depends on how much he eats that day so not sure how big he will get. I will take mommy & babies to vet next week for check up & get babies there shots & worm meds if he does that this early. |
Sounds like you are doing your best. I was so happy to see an update from you

I hope there is no underlying issue, especially with all the time and effort you have put in. I bet you are soooo attached by now. Will you be keeping him? Have the drs listened to his heart and make sure his heart is healthy? I know we had a litter of jack russells a couple years ago in the clinic, and all the puppies were huge except one tiny female, who despite eating normally just wasnt getting much bigger, and it turned out she had a heart problem. I sure wish you would post a picture
