I like lowered lighting and shadows in certain situations but if you wanted, you could select the circle of her head and just selectively lighten that area and see what that looks like. If you still want more, try overall ligtening or the backlight effect. I love that backlight effect on that PhotoScare. Have used it a bit on two sets of pics and I really like it. I start out at 50% and go up if I want more. If it messes up, just back up or redo or whatever to undo it. But I really like that feature.
