There are very reputable knowledgable long time breeders that are not members of CYTA that I would not hesitate to refer someone to. They have their reasons for not being a member for those that aren't as I have mine.
People I can recommend off the top of my head are

And yes, someone who thinks maybe they want a yorkie I sometimes do have them come out as a prospective home for a pup now or in future if they have impressed me enough via emails, reference, phone conversations. Most of the time I don't have someone come to see me unless I do have something they might be interested in and I have screened them.
sometimes I do understand people just are not sure if this is the right breed for them. One good way too that I do if there is a dog show coming up and I know there will be Yorkies there, tell them to go to the show meet the dogs and breeders and perhaps they will discover it is actually something else that would be more suitable. |
