I have to start my story with a few disclaimers. I was a crazy college kid when we met and my brother and I never got along and did not hang out.
When I met my husband I had just gotten out a really crappy relationship the month before and I was dating around, but kinda looking for something serious. Out of the blue my Brother

calls and invites me down to his college (rose hulman) and try some (bad stuff I did in college) at his friends place. I had nothing better to do so I took off for the 2 hour drive down there from Purdue. Needless to say I got pretty messed up and was checking the room for a hottie. There wasn't much to choice from seeing as how it's a strickly engineering school (I hope no engineers take office to that). I spotted my hubby who was by far the hottest guy in the room and went over to get something started. My hubby is painfully shy and I am very forward so this exchange was a little ackward, but I can just remember he made me feel like I was the only person in the room. And then for some reason I decided to flirt like a 5 year old boy and tried to get him to slap box me and we ended up wrestling (not in that way) on the floor for the next hour. but that was all that happened that night.
Well a few weeks later my brother brought him up to Purdue for the Ohio state game. Him and my brother came over to my place and hung out the night before the game and then went to the bars, I wasn't old enough so me and my friends took off to some parties. On the way home I passed them walking back from the bars. My hubby who was very drunk at the time sat down in my car while people were chatting and my brother told me I could take him how so I did. We ended up kissing. The next morning it felt like I had know him forever and we were just completely comfortable with each other.
However, I still wasn't sure I'd see him again, but then a couple days later he called me at 3 in the morning on a dare from my brother. I guess he was talking about me and my brother said you'll never call her (he's painfully shy) and so he did. He was gonna be near purdue on his way back from an interview so we actually had a real date. We been together ever since. Until we got married we were always at least 2 hours apart. We would take turns going to see each other on the weekends and we would talk everyday. We've been married for just over 3 years.
Most people that see us together don't get how we work, but he lets me be me and I let him be him and it works for us. He's painfully shy and I'm loud, obnoxious, some might say annoying and has you can tell long winded.
