I've probably witnessed 60 or so microchippings being done, even in chihuahua puppies, I think they were like 10 weeks or so just over 1-2 pounds.
Some flinched to be totally honest, when theI beedle entered, a couple yelped but in all honesty the older style clicker gun was used and I think the click scared them more than anything.
One puppy slept through the entire thing not even responding.
I say better safe than sorry, at least a microchip has the chance of getting scanned.
In some cases microchips were used as the only form of legal proof of positive identification and thua ownership (stolen found dog cases). |
