Basically, I just measured from his neck to his butt and then again the distance from neck to front legs and distance between front legs. I used the top of the sock and the "neck" and measured down his length and cut the rest of the sock off. Then measured and cut two little arm holes.
I used trial and error after putting it on to figure out how much to "scoop" cut off the bottom so he had clearance to pee.
Since these were fuzzy socks, I actually took a lighter and singed around all the cut areas so the fuzzies wouldn't keep coming off.
