[QUOTE=Patti;4116528]That is so many people to die or be sick with cancer. It is so scary, they talk about all the advances they are making in cancer research but it seems more than ever people are getting it and not surviving. QUOTE]

This is how I think as well, so much research and money has been spent, but it seems like so many people can not be cured and that cancer is on the rise. Most of what I see is that the drugs and research only prolong life and not in a quality way. My friend that died from the gym was from Germany and her husband had passed away about 4 months before she got sick, she had no one to help her. We all pitched in and took her to appointments, did chores, cooked meals and so forth. She went through so much, I had been cleaning her house the day she got the news that nothing was working and she would be gone soon. I told her how strong she was and how hard she fought and she looked at me through tears and a bit of anger and said for what, what good did it do. She died two days later. My friend Mary Kay got the news on the way to play golf that she had to go immediately to the hospital, within two days she was on her first of 6 weekly rounds of chemo, then she had a bone marrow transplant from her sister who was a very strong match but then the cancer cells just kept coming back and the new bone marrow was no match for it. On Christmas eve she got the news that the blood cancer cells was spreading rapidly and was told another round of chemo would be started, in the middle of that she had a heart attack because the chemo was wrecking her heart. So they took her off it and sent her home and into hospice care. Her first treatment was the end of July and now she is just laying there waiting to die. I think of Michele here and boy has that gal been through so much, and now she is gone from YT because it's probably to much for her to manage. I know so many of you have been touched over and over by cancer, and Taylor is right it just sucks and sucks and sucks. Not really sure why I am typing all this but I guess I just realized how much it is getting to me.

Thanks for listening and I am so sorry for everyone elses losses
