Yup, we have about 3 baby gate type thingys. They're wood w/ metal. I also use a few wire shelves (individual ones) to block certain areas. I like using them bc they're not so high, making them very easy to always step over. Very lightweight too. Plus, you can spray paint them to match your decor.
