My little Maverick passes away 1/19/13 after being diagnosed with PLE on 1/14/13. We followed all the instructions given to us by our very reputable vet, but nothing seemed to help. My family is heartbroken over the loss of our little family member. Maverick helped us to heal after the unexpected loss of my dad in 10/08. Now we are all trying to cope with the sudden loss of him. He was only 5. He turned 5 the day before he passed away. To my the only comforting things are knowing he wasn't alone when he passed away (I was holding him) and knowing that he is now with my dad. I have a 2 year old yorkie as well, Remington, and I know he is stuggling. He has never been the only dog, but I can't come to terms with getting a new one right away. The whole thing is simply heartbreaking.
