The livin' in easy in the South and Southwest and even when it is broiling in the summer, we just go from one air-conditioned place to another in air-conditioned cars and it's all good because it doesn't shut things down, you can still go shopping, take the dogs out in the shade, run errands and go everywhere. Would not want to work out in that hot sun all day but if you don't have that kind of job, the summers are made up for by mostly reasonable weather the rest of the year.

My sister's friend who lives in Canada says it is so cold there in the winter, they can't bury people who die in the middle of winter until the Spring thaw. I had never heard anything like that and still wonder if it is true.
Yes it is true and same as here in Buffalo, my Grampa died in December and it was a bad winter so they had us all go in to the mausoleum instead of graveside and we had to leave Gramps there, wish I didn't go....they buried him when they could.
