I worked a job that was 78 miles round trip. Luckily it was interstate the whole way and I could make it in less than 45 min, but I am now working 5 miles from my house. Even driving through a deer-infested park at 35mph, I can still get to work in 8 minutes or less from my driveway. I went from filling up my car 2 times a week to once every 3 weeks, sometimes once a month. It is absolutely fantastic. I have gained an hour of sleep (or puppy play time) and feel like I got a pay raise with what I save in gas and car maintenence. Hold out for the job that suits you best. There is no sense in working just to pay for gas! |
