Default Just got back from Virginia Tech with Emma, not to bad results i suppose..

Well, the ultrasound they did not find a large vessel shunt, they said there is possibly smaller ones though they can not tell from ultrasound. They took blood again and typed up a thing for me..

"She does have a medially luxating patella on her left pelvic limb, at this time that is minor. Liver is normal size making an abnormal shunting vessel unlikely. This makes microvascular dysplasia, MVD, the most likely diagnosis for her. We are repeating the bile acids test and if they are not truly elevated, we need to take a closer look at her neurologic function. Most important factor is avoiding oral protein. Emma should be maintained on a liver diet, possibly for the rest of her life. Good snacks are baby carrots or rice cakes. We are sending home some samples of Hill's L/D, dry food only feed about 1/2 cup a day, canned Hills L/D, about 1/3 can a day, if mixed subtract a little of each to even out. If the food alone fails to control Emma's signs, we can add in medication as needed."

They shaved her belly for the ultrasound lol but they said she did great, its supposed to snow here tomorrow so hopefully can get back there if another bloodwork is needed. She will be disappointed not getting bacon flavor treats now I am sure
