I am so happy to hear this. We expect our Princess Sophie should be about 2 lbs. when we pick her up on the 8th of Feb. We bought her the most darling sweater from PetSmart last week (it's pink with a black collar and black bone with rhinestones on the back), and I thought it was an XXS but checked this morning and found it is an XS. I was really afraid it would be way too big for her but seeing your Sam's weight, I feel assured that we should be able to use it as her "coming home" sweater. Thanks very much!
