Unless they have a medical condition that is bringing on the hypoglycemia, once they hit 4 lbs, I would feel safe going down to 2 meals a day. Especially if hypoglycemia has not ever been an issue with your baby, and she gets snacks between meals....she will be fine. Now if she has ever had an episode of hypoglycemia, you probably would be better off continuing with the 3 meals a day....with a snack at bedtime, to carry her thru the night, until she gets some age/weight on her. |
