If Lepto is very high risk in your area maybe wait until the pup is a bit older and make sure your vet gives a benadryl shot before the Lepto shot and stay at the vet for at least an hour after receiving the shot. If Lepto is not bad in your area then just don't get it. I personally get it because my mom had a goat die of Lepto but if its not in your area or very rare in your area just don't get it.
