Our vet gives both the 1 yr. or 3 yr. vaccination. I usually go with the 1 yr. for the Chi and the Yorkies, but get the 3 yr. for Sam our huge Sheltie (50+ lbs.). My thinking is the 3 yr. is probably stronger to last longer.
