We just got a new Yorkie pup. She is 11 weeks old today. She had the Parvovirus and Coronavirus vaccines and is scheduled for her Leptospirosis in a week or two. My wife read something about the Leptosprosis vaccine should not be administered to toy breeds. That Leptospira bactiria has been responsible for 70% of post-vaccination DHLPP anaphylactic shock reactions. Toy breeds and puppies younger then 12 weeks old seem to have the highest rate of reactions to this bacterin. Just wanted to know if anyone out there heard of this or had any negative experience with this vaccine.
