I will be honest as long as you keep in mind that every single case is different and that may just be a shadow and nothing?

We took her to a specialist, who did an mri or sonogram, can't remember which...whichever he was clearly able to point out the mass on the pics, he explained that this was the cause of the weightloss...because of his age we decided not to do surgery because the chances were high that it was cancer and his quality of life diminished...regardless of the potential outcome the cons outweighed the pros, realistically he would only be around a few more years anyway...so why put him through the pain and suffering....we had him on a special diet and had him checked out regularly. Eventually he started to feel pain very demonstratively, so from diagnosis to humane euthanasia was 19 mos. Gigi was almost 18 when we let him go.
