I'm sorry, I disagree with your vet but would almost never tell you to ignore your vets advice over mine. Again I disagree, I instead would get the food you want the pup to eat deliver it to the breeder and ask her to feed it that since you don't want to have to change it. You don't' have to criticize your breeder or insult her a polite conversation.

And for the record, 25 years ago I fed my 11 black lab puppies rice cereal with goats milk and kibble, I don't know why I just did. All but one lived very long lives...!!

Do what you think is best but I would resist bringing this pup home even before 10 weeks.
