I agree with your motto...it is one of mine too, but I, too, have sent email to a 'rescue' about an 'advertised' pup that was completely ignored...not to the same place, however. I found it completely annoying that the 'rescue' ONLY accepted email inquiries then NEVER responded. The time this happened to me was for a cutie pie solid white Yorkie/Maltie mix that I wanted as a companion for Brody.

I would have been able to see him in person at PetSmart in a couple of days, but by then he was removed from their website. When he was not brought to PetSmart...as that rescue did EVERY Saturday, I found Mia from a private owner/re-home and she and Brody are PERFECT together!

So, the motto works......I just felt that a "...got your email...sorry, he's gone" reply was appropriate so I wouldn't sit and wonder if they took him off the list FOR ME or because he was unavailable or because I could see him Saturday anyway...whatever....especially since one of the people that works at that 'rescue' knows us personally.

The upside...as I see it...is, if this little one was 'not YOUR puppy' then 'YOUR PUPPY' is still waiting for you to find him/her!
