LOL sorry for laughing, but I can picture how you explained it in my head- Hmm well, they have potty pad holders. Have you ever seen them? That will help her not being able to tear it up! Here is a link for them- you can find them at Walmart- Petsmart- Petco or online.

Can you arrange her x pen set up? Maybe put the pad on the opposite side? That way she isn't near her poo and won’t be able to step in it?
