Also, Maxi won't eat much of his dry kibble when we are gone, but he always always finishes the two kongs I leave for him. I fill one with wet food (canned dog food) and another with soggy kibble (literally just soak his kibble in water for a few minutes).
Another trick I read about is to sprinkle a little bit of Parmesan cheese on top of the kibble, it has worked for us when we have to go somewhere with Maxi and I need him to eat before we leave.
