What a sweet story and so glad you were able to get Tibbe.

I have found that one shelter is this area, cannot put dogs on hold, so it is a first come situation, which would be tough if you are working. Another shelter puts dogs on hold all the time for rescues, etc., and they are also able to choose homes by the applications. Guess each shelter is different. But I have also found, just like you, that being patient does pay off in the long run, just takes awhile.
