Yes, it can be. When hubby & I are both home, we brew a pot (we have a coffee pot brewer still) and we use the Keurig for one off cups of coffee, or when we have guests and they all want something different. His parents want decaf, his siblings flavored, mine regular. The Keurig is great for that and for making coffee super fast, each cup only takes a minute or less to brew, 10 people have coffee of their choice in 10 mins. And the Keurig I have to admit makes a really GOOD cup of coffee.
