Well, I am not sure if I am the best to answer this, but I will tell you our experience. I have a Yorkie named Katie Scarlett. My Mom has a Maltese, named Mollie. They are about a year apart in age and they ADORE each other! They play so good together and love on one another. So in our case, 2 girls have been the perfect match. But now, Katie Scarlett is a very social dog. She loves when our buddy, Killer, a boy Chihuahua, comes over to visit. But Mollie won't have anything to do with Killer.
