A Sleeve Peke is the smallest member of the Pekingese family. They must be under 6 lbs. when fully grown. They are a genetic fluke. A male Sleeve Peke can be used as a stud. Females are to small to be bred. At specialty
dog shows there is a special class for sleeves but to enter a dog must be over a year old. The sleeve is well proportioned (not as a dwarf Peke) and has the same standard as a regular sized Peke. There are Pekes 6-8 lbs. called miniatures, easier to find. I saw a sleeve at a dog show and eventually found a breeder that would part with one. She didn't want to show a sleeve and couldn't breed it.
