We cut Jack's hair twice a year - once around April/May and again in August. His hair does not grow very fast but I do like to keep it a little longer for the winter so he's not so cold. I had grown it out once (the first year of his life) but he looked too much like a girl and I was always correcting people when we would be out walking:

Them: Oh, she is so pretty.
Me: Oh, she is really a he.

So we had him cut in the puppy cut and I love it. So easy to groom - really he has fabulous hair and I only have to brush him once a week when I groom him. He never has any matts or tangles.

Izzy we are trying to grow out but she still has puppy fur and has a few matts around her front legs that I have been trying to work out. I need to brush her at least once a day, sometimes more because she looks like a ragamuffin. We are able to finally pull her hair back on her head but because it is so fine, a few strands still tend to pup out of her clip. Here are pics of Jack and Izzy.

Oh, and I do use Pantene conditioner on them also - it works great.

Pic 3 - Izzy with hair pulled back on top of her head.

I just realized most of the pics I posted of Jack are in my avatar...
