Well if you say "leave it", etc., those trained to do so will drop it but who wants to unless they snatch something dangerous to them? But I imagine we don't leave things like that really lying around so that's not part of the game. But like OP described, he "cloches" those ears back, pinned tight to his head and his eyes are walled and just zooms with his new prize 'cause he knows I'll chase him even if I'm half-dead. That's pretty much one of the things I can't resist is watching him enjoy the snatch and run and chase game. Boy, I hope no one gets me on video some of those times!
