Every time your baby goes through change, like being taken away from their littermates, or moved to a new home, it causes them stress. It's an adjustment and it's very hard on them especially puppies and young dogs. It is the best time for them to get sick. I wouldn't let a trainer take my puppy I would prefer someone come to me. That way you can learn too.
For potty training, can you get a puppy playpen so they are not running all over the house? Like lil sis said, consistency is key. Set a routine, and stick to it. Do things the same way every time. There are lots of great threads on here about potty training too.
