You can get other really top notch well researched brands for $3 or less per pound. Annamaet for example, you can get for around $1.65/lb. Solid company, very well respected in the industry. Dr Tims, same thing, somewhere around $1.30/lb. $2.60/lb for Fromm Gold. And they are very comparable (better IMO).
I guess I just don't see what the big deal is about the price. And don't get me wrong...I'm not rolling in money...I'm a single parent working 3 jobs and putting two kids through college right now. But really, it's such a small amount. If meat or some other grocery product isn't on sale any particular week, you spend an extra dollar or two for it.

I look at the overall cost of upkeep, and whether it's per week or per month, it's minimal. Not eating out myself just one night in the week, not buying a cappacinos, or a couple of pops from the vending machine at work, and there's the money it takes to feed ZoE. So little of the monthly budget & she's more than worth it.
