This is the most unbias article on it...the view deleted all the comments by antipupmill advocates off twitter and facebook and Whoopi got really nasty on her fb, twitter producers made her delete her somments.

Apparently she took it to ger blog which she also later deleted.

I love Lisa Ling, and watched the Oprah show you are talking about, I like how Oprah pointed out she supporrs, rescue adoption and responsible breeders.
HOLY SH*T this pisses me off !!!

I was not aware of this at all. I wonder if it was posted on YT back then and I just missed it.

Seriously, I can't even digest how ignorant the majority of celebrities seem to be about pet stores (hi britney, paris, whoopi, and a gazillion others) - HOW can they not know???

I would say I often agree w/ Whoopi's opinions bc she usually isn't dogmatic about her opinions - and is extremely open minded and non-traditional...I'm all on board with that. However, in this case - it's totally clear that she let her anger about people disagreeing with her cloud her ability to see the facts. She let her desire to be right overtake her ability to see and do right .

It's like she's saying: "Listen, I don't want anyone telling me I can't buy clothes that were made by children in a sweat shop" -- that is absolutely ridiculous, selfish, and self-interested. ICK. Who on earth would say and believe in that, and think it's right? It's no different than the puppy mill/pet store issue.

Sorry to hijack thread....just really had to comment.
