I am a bad one to ask as we free feed. We keep food in their bowl and when they are hungry they eat. I am just now switching over from Royal Canin to Halo - Spot's Stew dry kibble. Izzy seemed to be itching a lot and I read somewhere (probably here) about others having issues with itching and Royal Canin. So far the transition is going well and Izzy doesn't itch as much as she did before.
