Surely they have something to fill that bill but if you can't find it, afford it, etc., what about a cardboard box with a cutout for the chest and hips placed over his torso, kind of like a tunnel over a train track, for when Harry is in the room off leash. Otherwise, without any protective covering over his abdomen, I would keep Harry leashed as your Andy couldn't take Harry landing in the middle of his abdomen. In the Medical Equipment stores, they likely have something far more adequate for this purpose for burn patients and post-op torso surgery patients as so many people have pets and small children and live alone and have to allow their little one some freedom without constant restraint etc., in the house.
I missed that Andy was having surgery until you mentioned it in that other thread I saw earlier today. Sally, I am so sorry to hear about this and you know I will be praying and thinking about you all until he is well again. It sounds quite serious and I hope and pray you are going to have some help getting you two through this. Hugs from Texas.
