 Two week old not nursing and weak
I have a two week old that is not nursing today. Her mom had a c section and we lost four puppies and she is the only one to survive. She started out at three ounces and after three days at the same weight she finally started gaining. She weighs 8 ounces but today she is weak and will not nurse. My vet told me to get her warmed up and give her karo or sugar water and then get her nursing. She was breathing quick short breaths but seems to be breathing better now. I have given her some karo but she will not nurse. Her tummy appears to be full and I have some concern about her bowels. I have rubbed her bum with warm cotton and encouraged her mom to help but I have not seen anything. Please help |
