In those days, we burned our own trash in 55 gallon barrels. I ended up accidentally burning that old barn (my house) down. I didn't know cow manure smoldered and burned and I thought I was putting out my fire by throwing dirt on it (cow manure). My parents still think it was just wind carrying burning debree that caused it. I never did come clean on it.
(Just to be clear, at the time my dad said..."I've been wanting to get rid of that old barn for quite a while now." They just assumed and never did ask, so I never offered).
